ARUSHA NATIONAL PARK

The closest National Park to Arusha town, northern Tanzania safari capital. Arusha Nationational Park is multifaceted jewel, often overlooked by safari goers, with an area of 137sq. km and one of the smaller and most beautiful national park in Tanzania. The park is very popular for a day trip situated only 37 km from Arusha town. Arusha national park covers Mt Meru the second highest peak in Tanzania and the Africa fifth highest mountain standing at 4,565 metres above the sea level, The park is famous for its black and white colobus monkey, the great Momella lake and Ngurudoto crater, the park is an opportunity to combine game drive and nature walk in many places, as a forest walking, three or four day Mt Meru climbing-good acclimatization for Kilimanjaro in alpine hut on the way up and down. Expected most common animal in the park are Abyssinian, black and white colobus monkey, elephant, the vervet monkeys, the red forest duikers,  buffaloes, giraffe, bushbuck and very rarely Leopard finally with more than 400 speces being recorded.
