SAFARI ITINERARY FOR 2 DAYS 1 NIGHT

Day 1: Arusha/Moshi to Tarangire National Park

In the morning we will pick you up from your hotel in Moshi/Arusha and begin our journey to Tarangire National Park, which is located just a few hours’ drive southwest from Arusha city. Tarangire National park is famous for its huge herd of elephants, of up to 300 individuals. They scratch the dry river bed for underground streams in search of water.  The Tarangire river after which the park is named does not out dry throughout the year which and it attract migratory wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, impala, grant gazelle, hartebeest, eland and up to 500 different species of birds who crowd the shrinking lagoons.

You will spend the night high on the slopes of the Great Rift Valley at Heaven Nature campsite or at Kudu lodge in Karatu

Day 2: Karatu to Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha or Moshi

Today you will rise early in the morning to descend to the floor of the Ngorongoro Crater, the largest Caldera in the world. A sheer drop of 610 meters below the crater rim, it has an area of about 300 square kilometers, with a diameter of 19 kilometers. The sight of the Ngorongoro Crater is simply stunning. Professor Bernhard Grumeti once wrote: „There is nothing with which to compare. It is one of the wonders of the world. The crater is and listed as UNESCO World Heritage Site and it is also considered one of the most beautiful and unique places in Africa. Here you will find an abundance of African wildlife and you might just also be lucky enough to spot the endangered Rhino! Enjoy a game drive and lunch by the hippo pool.

After the game drive, we return to Heaven Nature Campsite or Kudu lodge for relaxation, dinner and pleasant night of sleep.
